Heritage Project Hibbert Centre has also held successful inter-generational Asian heritage exhibitions in Bolton Museum and in local schools. These exhibitions have proven very successful in disseminating the experiences of older generations of Asians who were the first settlers and their struggles through to the second and third generations and their experiences.These depictions of each generation's experiences proved invaluable in helping each generation understand one another much better.
The other aspect of these Asian heritage projects was the experiences and first thoughts of the indigenous population in reaction to the first Asian settlers and how those views have now changed. The projects have also helped people from other communities learn and understand the Asian culture and the Asian experience of Britain over the last 50 years contributing towards a greater tolerance between them.
